Member Suzy Spencer lead a discussion on her bluebird observations this year. She reported on her 15-box bluebird trail at Historic Oakwood Cemetery (including the return of the white bluebird eggs) as well as the Mordecai Historic Park bluebird trail that was established by Bill Satterwhite and which Suzy now monitors.

Everyone was invited to report on their own boxes and tell about any outreach activities they’ve done to spread the joy of bluebirding to others.

Bill and Joye shared the proceedings of the annual meeting of the NC Bluebird Society which was held April 25, 2015 at Haw River State Park. Caren Cooper, Assistant Director of the Biodiversity Research Lab at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences was a speaker. Her house sparrow research and the Citizen Science program was very interesting.
